Kim Empringham on behalf of the York Region Federation of Agriculture, a non-profit farm organization ensuring the agricultural sector and rural communities are considered in any new or changing legislation impacting sustainability, provided comments on the stormwater rate study report. Ms. Empringham requested further investigation of the farmhouse tax code rate calculated for the stormwater fee to ensure an appropriate fee for that tax group, and that agricultural land be exempt from this fee structure.
