Laura LaPierre, agent for owner, asked to temporarily rezone the subject property to enable the owners to remain in the current residence while constructing a new home on the property. The applicants have obtained the majority of required permits including site alteration, demolition and building permits but require a temporary rezoning and enter into an agreement with the Town prior to starting construction of the new home.
Brittany Dobrindt, Planner II, provided a brief overview of the report indicating the application is proposing zoning bylaw amendments to Zoning Bylaws 500 and 600, 23725 McCowan Road to permit an existing two-storey dwelling to be occupied while a replacement dwelling is being constructed. The new dwelling is to be located in an Agricultural Protection Area, property is zoned Rural, will require site alteration and entrance permit.
